Whelen's Vortex R Series All Hazard High Power Sirens provide an economical alternative for powerful siren communication without compromising quality.

The Vortex R Series has an option of 2, 3, and 4 speaker cells. 400-watt speaker drivers power these speaker cells. Each speaker drive is independent which allows the siren to remain functional in the event of a speaker driver failure. In order to achieve a 360-degree range of coverage, the siren is oscillated by means of a simple worm gear. These sirens are battery powered and charged by an AC temperature compensated charger, which maximizes battery life. The siren can be silently tested as not to disturb the community. Standard is a battery alarm; a lightning arrestor and local control push buttons. The siren is capable of producing 6 distinctive tones that can be used for a variety of functions. There is nothing to be painted and the simple modulated design of the siren allows for easy maintenance.
