The Costar StarView is our dynamic mobile digital video recorder (MDVR) video viewing software. In addition to the advanced playback features, it offers powerful search and export features in a user-friendly and intuitive graphical user interface.

Complete Playback Control
In addition to standard playback controls, such as Stop, Pause, and Fast Forward, StarView offers a frame-by-frame Step control, as well as a Jump Back button that automatically rewinds five seconds.

Multiple Viewing Configurations
View 1 camera, 4 cameras, 6 cameras, 9 cameras, or 10 cameras in any user-customized configuration. An additional channel displays available global positioning system (GPS) data on a map in real time.

Advanced Video Search
StarView utilizes an innovative and intuitive Calendar Search that allows you to search video by date and time to find the critical evidence you need. Events are clearly marked in contrasting red.

Health Status
Use the supported USB QuickView hard drive reader or attach directly to the Costar “Premiere” MDVR310 and view the health status of the MDVR to easily analyze performance.

Architecture and Engineering Specifications
StarView plays back 10 separate video channels and 10 separate audio channels synchronized with the video channels. StarView has a customizable display area. StarView displays GPS data and active sensors in real time. StarView has the ability to search attached hard drives as well as databases. It also has the ability to search video by date and time. StarView identifies event video in both searches and playback and exports customized video clips complete with audio and metadata. StarView exports single frames in multiple digital formats complete with metadata, and provides the health status of the Costar “Premiere” MDVR30 mobile digital video recorder providing for advanced performance analysis.

Costar School Bus Video Systems are equipped with weather-resistant, vandal-resistant, vibration tested equipment that can stand up to the rigorous demands of school buses. Cameras with built-in microphones and IR LEDs for day or night imaging provide excellent video of incidents within and outside the bus.

Costar mobile DVRs are auto activating and come in lockable models so that only supervisors can access the contents. As with the Costar Police Video System, on-screen GPS tracking provides powerful documentation to refute or verify parental claims of abuse or neglect. These DVRs also provide speed tracking and unusual event recording. Consequently supervisors can evaluate bus driver performance and take quick action to dismiss undesirable drivers before the problem becomes a lawsuit.

The CF Mobile DVR has no moving parts resulting in a solid, reliable product – the most dependable digital recorder on the market today. Options include 8G, 16G & 32G CF cards.

The 3.5” hard drive provides dual video and audio inputs plus several options for different size hard drives (40, 80, 120 or 320G). Costar mobile DVRs are 12VDC tolerant with six configurable multi-event triggered inputs.

Use Costar’s StarView™ to connect to the CostarNet Central Management System (CMS) wireless solution and gain the ability to search and view your entire library of stored video directly from your desktop. Any client computer with StarView connected to the CostarNet CMS server can search the video database using the same familiar Calender Search. Find crucial video events without ever touching a hard drive.
